Undeniable Faith: A Book Club Guide
Dear Book Club
This book began in a season of trials. Circumstances in our family changed dramatically, and life suddenly felt unsteady. We remained in that season far longer than I expected, yet nothing paused so I could process what was happening. Responsibilities continued, the calendar flipped, questions about the future lingered, and a hum of pressure grew steadily in my chest.
Somewhere in that unsettled season, I began to realize that knowing what I believed and living like I believed it weren’t always the same thing.
Maybe you’ve discovered that too. We’ve memorized verses, highlighted passages, listened to sermons, and participated in Bible studies. We believe in God, yet there are seasons when the gap between what we believe and how we live widens.
That was the season I found myself in.
How do you trust God when answers don’t come? How do you find joy without pretending everything is okay? How do you keep serving when your own heart is tired?
Those questions led me to James. I discovered that James moves us beyond what we say we believe and asks whether our faith is alive. Is it changing the way we speak? Spend? Respond to people in need? Persevere through hardship? Trust God when life doesn’t make sense? Again and again, the Spirit invited me one step closer to Christ.
Eventually, I realized I wasn’t writing only for myself. I was writing for believers who want to know what genuine faith looks like when life is hard.
God is forming your faith through your current circumstances, perhaps in ways you don’t yet recognize. That’s why I’ve loved my time praying through James, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Tips for a Great Night
Read what you can.
You’ll get the most out of the discussion if you’ve finished the book before you meet—but life happens! Don’t let an unfinished book keep you home. Come anyway. You can still join the conversation, enjoy the activities, and spend a great evening together. Just be prepared for spoilers!
Come ready to chat.
There are no right answers here. The discussion questions are meant to spark conversation, so share your thoughts, ask your own questions, and don’t worry if you wander delightfully off topic.
Make it yours.
Use as many—or as few—of the activities and printables as you like. They’re here to make planning easier, not give you a to-do list.
Don’t forget the snacks.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a virtual book club visit cost?
Virtual book club visits are complimentary for groups reading one of my books! Visits are subject to availability.
How long will Stacey join us?
Complimentary virtual book club visits are up to 30 minutes. We can chat about the book, explore its themes, talk about the writing process, and leave time for your questions.
What platform do we use?
Virtual visits will most likely take place over Zoom. Once we confirm a date, we’ll work out the details and make sure everyone knows how to join.
How far in advance should we book?
The earlier, the better! I recommend reaching out at least 4–6 weeks before your meeting, especially if you have a particular date in mind. That said, if your book club is coming up soon, feel free to ask. If I can make it work, I will!
Will Stacey visit any book club?
I love connecting with readers and will accept as many invitations as my schedule allows. Because my books are written from a Christian worldview, conversations will naturally include faith, Scripture, and the themes explored in the book.
Does everyone need to have read the book?
Not at all! You’ll get more from the conversation if you’ve finished the book, but life happens. Please don’t let an unfinished book keep you from joining the fun. Just be prepared for spoilers!
Can we invite Stacey to an in-person book club?
Absolutely! In-person visits are considered a type of speaking engagements and are subject to availability, speaking fees, and any applicable travel expenses.
